Learning is broken down into small steps and scaffolded by staff who know each pupil’s targets extremely well and are able to support and intervene as required. Therapy is integrated into the learning as opportunities to practice skills learnt in individual therapy sessions are pulled through into more generalised learning opportunities. The development of the whole pupil is focussed on at all times as the targets are recognised as the pupil’s targets to work on in an holistic manner- rather than a target specific to a discipline. Joint planning and delivery enables this to happen seamlessly.
