Time to Talk – Ask Twice

Today is Time to Talk Day, from the social movement that is Time to Change. If you’re experiencing mental health problems or need urgent support, there are lots of places you can go to for help. Please don’t keep it to yourself.

We really admired their #asktwice campaign from a few years back so we’ve put this little video together … please watch and share. Thanks!

Percy Hedley Christmas Talent Show 2019

On Monday 16th December Students took part in another amazing talent show, This year we had some amazing acts there was singing, dancing, poem reading, magic show and I think a first for Percy Hedley, an acrobatic performance. Students and staff enjoyed the wonderful afternoon, seeing what amazing talent we have at our school.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND ALL THE BEST FOR 2020.

Percy Hedley Parent Partnership

Something different for 2020: our Percy Hedley Parent Partnership will be publishing a series of short, snappy videos – first up here is an interview with Occupational Therapist Hayley – exploring the topics that our staff at PHS regularly get asked advice on.

We know people have busy lives and don’t always have the time to get in touch when they want to talk to us about their experience and worries.

We thought doing a series like this could be useful and start a conversation, but it’s not instead of a face-to-face talk – our door is always open and it’s always good to talk! (as the advert famously said …)

This clip is about the eternal trials and tribulations of ‘Growing up’, and how this can be different – and rather more challenging – for people with special education needs and disabilities and their parents and carers.

Please view and share – and we’d welcome suggestions for any future clips. Thanks!
