NCS – Post 16 – Stop motion animation

This week saw a group of our amazing Post 16 students creating a wonderful stop motion animation as part of the ongoing NCS events.

Each student created their own model/s with varying degrees of support and worked as a team to film this short sequence.

We hope that you enjoy it; and remember to ‘Be Epic’, ‘Live Life’ and ‘Do Good’!

Brought to you by Post 16

English Trips to Spanish City

Inspired by the journey of Phileas Fogg from “Around the World in Eighty Days”, we travelled to Whitley Bay to explore the nearby coastal town. After eating some delicious ice creams at Di Meo’s, we had a peek inside the newly refurbished Spanish City. As well as applying topic words to a real life situation, the trip provided a stimulus for our travel log writing project. Here are a few pictures we took a long the way….

4JF Science Investigations

This term we have exploring our topic of acids and alkalis. First we learned about the pH scale and tested household solutions using universal indicator paper.

Our teacher chopped up the pH scale and asked us to put it back together again to see how much we could remember!

We tried testing solutions using different indicators such as litmus paper and red cabbage water.
