Update from 3RR

Hi all, it’s been a very busy few weeks in 3RR since returning from the half term break. The class enjoyed Art Week on our first week back (19th-23rd February) and every class in school was given the task of creating a display board – our topic was ‘Documentaries’! The children decided to make a Blue Planet themed display and we think it is the best in school – even if we say so ourselves!

We have also celebrated World Book Day and staff and children spent the day dressed as their favourite characters and shared our favourite stories with each other!

Today (Friday 9th March) KS4 held a Mother’s Day sale and the children enjoyed spending their money on lovely gifts for their mothers and carers; we’ve also had fun making cards to give out on Sunday!

We hope everyone enjoyed the snow days’ last week and has finally managed to thaw out after all the cold weather. We’re glad to see the back of ‘The Beast from the East’ and to be back to normal finally.

Have a lovely weekend from the 3RR team!

3RR Update

Hello all,

It’s been another busy week in 3RR!

Last week, in History, the class enjoyed hearing the story of Guy Fawkes and then reenacted it in the school assembly. On Monday we enjoyed talking about how everyone had celebrated Bonfire Night with their friends and family!

Next week is ‘Children in Need’ so there will be a number of fun activities and ways for the children to get involved throughout the week so look out for more information about that on Monday.

Have a nice weekend!

Class update 3RR

Dear all,

A quick update on our week in 3RR. The children have been setting personal targets for hydrotherapy as well as compiling a set of class rules and staff are beginning to nominate pupils for our ‘Golden Box Awards’ in assembly. Congratulations to Hannah who was our first recipient of the award which was given for her geography skills! Children can be nominated for any good work, progress or achievements in school and will be given a certificate to celebrate their successes in front of their friends.

Our Physio, Amy, is also giving a weekly award for motivation in therapy sessions. Congratulations again to Hannah who was also the first recipient of this award!

Here are a few photo’s of the class working on their self portrait project in Task Series.

Have a lovely weekend.

Book Fair and Cake Sale!

Dear all,

3RR have had a busy couple of weeks! As you know, last week was our school book fair, the children were involved in putting up posters to advertise it and enjoyed having a look at the books and choosing which ones they wanted to take home.

We also had our cake sale to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Thank you to all who donated, the class really enjoyed spending their money and choosing themselves a treat or two. Hopefully some of them will make it home to you!

We have also been having fun painting with paint sticks to create a new display for the classroom.

Have a lovely weekend.
